Well it’s been some time since we’ve connected, and in that time the world is still round as far as I can tell, most of my dear NYC podiatry patients are still bipedal locomotive machines, and 2020 is not even around the corner. But as we are just a few weeks post-Thanksgiving and I’m still enjoying leftovers, and we have entered the season of miracles (cue the angels, or as I like to say cure the Angels), let us pray – or something.
It’s been an interesting year so far, and it’s just getting started. And as we come to a close, here are a few things I’m thankful for. Let’s see there’s waking up this morning. Family. Running. Music (@Phish New Year’s Run anyone?). And you my dear patients. I’m thankful to be a part of your lives, from the occasional ingrown toenail, heel pain, bunion surgery, to keeping you walking, running and mostly pain free.
Despite it all, we are in pretty good times in this time and place, and we need only turn on the TV (remember that?) or open the newspaper (totally dating myself) or even open a smartphone to see what happens on a daily basis locally and globally. Our health system still has its strong points such as the doctors who wake up every day with the mission of helping out, and thankfully there are still plenty of others in our society who get up for the purpose of helping out their fellows. I’m thankful to live in society, and hope tomorrow is a bit better than today.
So my dear NYC podiatry patients, not too much to tell you about feet this week, perhaps will save that for the next thrilling and fun filled blog. Meanwhile if you’re reading this- and my condolences to those who are still in it at this point on the page- be glad that you are and can. And be thankful it’s over, until next time…
See you in the office.
