Well it just seemed appropriate and a lot cleaner than the John Oliver farewell to 2016. Sure has been an interesting one, a lot of changes on a micro and macro level, and capped off by the tragic demise of Princess Leia. And next year is shaping up to be even more interesting, starting oh, around January 20 or so. For those of my dear NYC podiatry patients who want to wallow in the gooey milky solace of a warm glass of spiked eggnog instead of experiencing the excellent enjoyment of this entertaining edifying and educational exegesis, I won’t be egregiously or erroneously annoyed.
So it’s been a bad year. Your candidate or sports team lost, the world is falling apart, and everything that was bad became badder. Or maybe it was a great year. Your candidate won and he’s apparently going to make America great again, starting by reviving the most patriotic tradition of wearing red trucker caps (made in China?). And we can all root for the Cubbies, after 108 years it’s about time. Well here’s a bit of news from your NYC podiatrist. If you’re reading this, you have eyes that see, a brain that works and maybe even hands to hold the paper, or i-thing on which the pixels are displayed. You might even have a house, friends and family. Personally, I am fortunate to have had, thankfully, a relatively happy and productive year, personally and professionally, topped by a recent reconnection with a very old and good friend. And my dear NYC podiatry patients keep on coming in and placing their trust in me and my wonderful staff. All that makes for a great foundation for a great New Year. And here’s my wish for us all. Whatever was bad should become good. We should all be happy, prosperous, successful and happy with friends and family. We should do better, feel better, work better, play better, and run better.
To 2016 we say farewell or good riddance. To 2017 we say- bring it on. Feel free to play harder, run faster, bounce higher and smile more. I have three chairs and three welcoming and smiling staff members waiting for you.
